Staff and volunteers will be available throughout the event to answer questions and provide assistance to exhibitors. 

 

CAREER FAIR VENUE

SHELL PLACE 
SP-Grand Ballrooms – A, B, C & D

Exhibitors will receive: 

  • One 10’ by 10’ booth space  
  • 8’ high back drape and 3’ high side drape  
  • One 8-foot skirted table and two folding chairs 
  • One 800 watt electrical outlet  
  • 2 invitations to Career Fair Kick-Off Brunch with featured keynote speaker (RSVP required) 
  • Access to “Exhibitors Only” lounge 

 

EXHIBITOR SERVICES

EXHIBITOR REGISTRATION DESK 
The Exhibitor Registration desk will be located in the Main Entrance to the Ballroom (2nd Floor at Shell Place) - Please check in at the EXHIBITOR REGISTRATION desk before commencing set up. You will be given final instructions as well as your brunch tickets and exhibitor badges.  
 
Career Fair staff will be available at all times during the show. 
 
EXHIBITOR BADGES 
Each company will receive 2 - 3 exhibitor badges. Any individual working your booth must wear a badge to be admitted into the Exhibitor Lounge. PARKING 
Parking is free at MacDonald Island Park, but the parking lot fills up quickly. Please arrive early to avoid delays. 
 
PRIVATE MEETING / INTERVIEW ROOMS 
Two small private meeting rooms will be available to exhibitors requiring a quiet space to conduct job interviews. Please check with the exhibitor registration desk for availability of the meeting rooms. 
 
REFRESHMENTS 
Refreshments will be provided by the organizers of the event and will be available to exhibitors each day in the Exhibitor Lounge. 
 
SECURITY SERVICES 
Security services will be available during the event doing rounds and crowd control. However, we strongly recommend to save guard valuables and to not leave your booth unattended as the organizers are not responsible for loss of company or personal items. 

 

SET UP AND TEAR DOWN 

SET UP 
Please check in with Career Fair volunteers at the EXHIBITOR REGISTRATION desk before set up.  
 
Thursday, March 10th  8:30 AM– 9:45 AM 
All exhibitors should complete set up by 9:45am   
 
TEAR DOWN & MOVE OUT 
Displays must not be dismantled prior to 6:00 PM on Friday, March 11th  
 
EARLY TEAR DOWN POLICY: 
Please note that early tear down of booths will negatively affect the success of the Career Fair. Any booths that are disassembled prior to 6 PM on Friday, March 11th will be charged an additional $200.00 early tear down fee. 

 
Items that may be easily damaged or stolen should be removed immediately following the show. All marketing information, promotional items and any other materials must be completely removed from the venue by the exhibitor. The venue must be vacated by 8:00 PM on Friday, March 11th, 2016 

 

EVENT TIMES

Career Fair organizers require that all exhibitors be at their booth at least 15 minutes prior to the Career fair opening to the public. Please allow time for parking. 
 
Day 1:  Thursday, March 10th 2016
8:30am – 9:30 am:  Booth Set up 
9:30am – 12:30am:  Brunch - Keynote Speaker presentation and round table discussion 
1:00pm – 6:00 pm:  Career Fair open to the public 
** Brunch and refreshments available to exhibitors
  
Day 2:  Friday, March 11th 2016
9:00am – 10:00am:  Light continental breakfast 
10:00am – 6:00pm:  Career Fair open to the public 
** Light continental breakfast, Lunch and refreshments available to exhibitors 

 

EMPLOYER KICK OFF BRUNCH

Thursday, March 10th 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM  Shell Place – Grand Ballroom A 
RSVP required at the time of registration 
 
The Registration fee includes 2 invitations to the Career Fair Kick off Brunch with featured keynote speaker (RSVP required). The purpose of the Kick-Off Brunch is to connect employers and service providers to current knowledge and resources that will support the attraction and retention of workers and also to promote information sharing about effective practices within the employer community.  
 
** Note: Additional invitations to the kick off Brunch may be available for purchase at $100 per person. 

 

BOOTH OPERATIONS

Exhibitors must ensure that their booth is staffed at all times during show hours. Moving in or out will not be permitted during show hours. 
 
Exhibitors will be expected to keep their display and all materials within their designated space and not in the aisles. 
 
Soliciting of business and or distribution of samples must be confined to the exhibitor’s own booth space. 

 

SECURITY TIPS FOR EXHIBITORS

Move In

  • Have adequate staff present at the booth 
  • Store valuables out of sight 

During the Show

  • Never leave your booth unattended. Small items, samples or laptops are easily taken 
  • Pack small items in boxes out of sight, or remove them from the booth overnight 

Move Out

  • Remove valuables, small cartons and open cases of products from show area upon close of the show 
  • Have proper exhibitor identification on all products. 
  • Don’t leave your booth unattended 
  • Keep any electrical equipment, ex. TV’s, computers, in plain boxes that does not identify the product
